Registered Physiotherapist

The Penticton Physiotherapy & IMS Clinic has recently moved to a new and improved clinic location, and we are looking for a full or part time Physiotherapist to join our team, starting ASAP.

We are a multi-disciplinary clinic and our team includes x2 physios, massage therapists, a kinesiologist and a personal trainer. We are very much a personalized clinic looking to provide the best care for our patients, and we are looking for a kind, up to date and compassionate physio to join us and help us to grow. Our space includes a bright and well-lit fitness suite and 4 treatment rooms, which likely will become 5 over the next year or so, and we are integrating EMR via the Jane scheduling system. Dry needling/ IMS skills, or an intention to train in this intervention, would be an asset but is not required.

Dear friends,

As you will be aware, we are in the middle of a public health emergency due to the ongoing coronavirus/ COVID-19 pandemic. Following strong recommendations from both the College of Physical Therapists of British Columbia and the Canadian Physiotherapy Association in the last 24 hours, we have made the difficult decision to close our clinic until March 31st 2020. We believe that this is the ethically and socially responsible action to help ‘flatten the curve’ of the virus. We are trying to do our part to help take the pressure off the already overloaded Penticton Regional Hospital by preventing further spread.

Please note, we have NOT had any confirmed cases of COVID-19 in our clinic. You can still book appointments with us for March 31st & onward, either on the phone at 250-493-1152 or on our online booking portal, located at the top of each of our webpages.

We understand that this may be an inconvenience, but we hope you can understand our decision in this unprecedented time. We will be working behind the scenes while our clinic is closed to make sure that all of your ICBC, WorkSafe BC and private claims are all being processed, and liaising with ICBC and WorkSafe as needed to extend treatment blocks which may end during our down time.

We are currently in the process of calling our patients to reschedule appointments, so don’t worry if you haven’t heard from us yet – we haven’t forgotten about you!

Again, we thank you for your understanding in this challenging time. We will keep you updated on the status of our clinic as the days and weeks unfold, and urge everyone to practice social distancing and keep updated on the current health advice from the Canadian government and health departments.

Looking forwards to seeing you all again on March 31st.

Best regards,

Chris Stokes,
Clinic Director and Registered Physiotherapist – March 17th, 2020
