Unless you are an ICBC or a WorkSafe BC patient, no! A doctor’s referral is not necessary for physiotherapy appointments, however some private insurance companies will need you to have one for a claim to be made.

Very easily! You can either call us at +12504931152, click the ‘book online’ button at the top of this page, or send us a message using the contact form(at the bottom of this page) and we will respond to you via email.

With our online booking, you can book, alter or cancel your appointment online. Just create a profile and off you go!

Upon making your appointment, you will be emailed a patient intake and consent form. Please fill this out and submit this form online before your appointment, as it will save you time in doing so when you arrive, and allows for us to prepare for your visit. Please be sure to bring suitable clothing where possible (shorts for lower limb problems, tank top for upper limb problems), and your care card and/or insurance information.

On the initial visit, your physiotherapist will ask you questions regarding your injury, and then will commence with a physical evaluation. Following these findings, an appropriate treatment strategy will be implemented for you. Initial appointments last from 45 minutes to one hour, and follow ups are approximately 30 minutes.

Yes! Please bring your insurance provider card/ information with you. We can direct bill the following companies: Pacific Blue Cross, Sun Life, Manulife, Chamber of Commerce, Johnson, Johnston Group, Cowan, Greatwest Life, Desjardins Insurance, IA Financial Group, Maximum Benefit, Green Shield Canada and Standard Life.

Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS) is an evidence-based manual therapy treatment that has been proven to reduce muscular pain and increase recovery from injury. For more information, be sure to check out our IMS page on this website, where we have lots of information about it

If you are eligible for Medical Service Plan (MSP) coverage and have your Personal Health Number (on the back of your driving license/ care card) with you, we can bill MSP on your behalf in our office. In one calendar year, you are covered for a combined 10 visits with your physiotherapist, registered massage therapist, and chiropractor. Please note that there is a user fee which will still need to be paid to the clinic for each appointment.

We treat all of them! We see babies from under one month of age, all the way up to 100 years old (and above!). Our therapists are all proficient in treating adults and children, and have each worked in both adult and paediatric hospitals, or treatment centres.

There is a parking lot opposite the clinic, which has free one-hour parking (just remember to put your license plate details into the parking machine). There are also two Penticton Physio parking spots at the back of our building, along with two visitor parking spots. Any of these can be used by our clients. Finally, there is meter parking along Ellis Street and in the adjacent area.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

Dear friends,

As you will be aware, we are in the middle of a public health emergency due to the ongoing coronavirus/ COVID-19 pandemic. Following strong recommendations from both the College of Physical Therapists of British Columbia and the Canadian Physiotherapy Association in the last 24 hours, we have made the difficult decision to close our clinic until March 31st 2020. We believe that this is the ethically and socially responsible action to help ‘flatten the curve’ of the virus. We are trying to do our part to help take the pressure off the already overloaded Penticton Regional Hospital by preventing further spread.

Please note, we have NOT had any confirmed cases of COVID-19 in our clinic. You can still book appointments with us for March 31st & onward, either on the phone at 250-493-1152 or on our online booking portal, located at the top of each of our webpages.

We understand that this may be an inconvenience, but we hope you can understand our decision in this unprecedented time. We will be working behind the scenes while our clinic is closed to make sure that all of your ICBC, WorkSafe BC and private claims are all being processed, and liaising with ICBC and WorkSafe as needed to extend treatment blocks which may end during our down time.

We are currently in the process of calling our patients to reschedule appointments, so don’t worry if you haven’t heard from us yet – we haven’t forgotten about you!

Again, we thank you for your understanding in this challenging time. We will keep you updated on the status of our clinic as the days and weeks unfold, and urge everyone to practice social distancing and keep updated on the current health advice from the Canadian government and health departments.
